Andrew Powell Mournes For Family Member Lost in West Kingston Gang War

The body of 34-year-old Robert Alphanso Ricketts, otherwise called Peter, was found lying in a pool of blood. curtail criminals Reports are that about 4:15 p.m., Ricketts was shot repeatedly and died on the spot. Desmond McKenzie, member of parliament for the constituency, visited the scene as well as senior officers, which included SSP Steve McGregor, superintendent in charge of the division. When quizzed about the measures to be put in place to curtail criminals and their illicit activities, the no-nonsense crime fighter said, "what we will have to do now which was restricting us somewhat was that we had to give leverage to the residents. That affected how tight we could do the place, we will have to overlook that now and tighten up the place." McGregor continued, "as of tonight (last night) the whole place will be locked down, the people will be inconvenienced a great way because we had tried to give some leverage to the good people so they could move around and in giving that leverage, you left the place open fi the same man dem." The police have theorised that Ricketts' death is a possible reprisal for fatal shooting on Tuesday night in the community. Meanwhile, the Western Kingston police are seeking Gratiano Green, otherwsie called 'Bebe', Kemar Cole, otherwise called 'Flex', and Ryan Bembridge, otherwise called 'Little Blacks', who they say can assist with their investigation. These men are being asked to make contact with detectives at the Denham Town police by 5 p.m., Friday, May 9.
